I hope you are having a fantastic summer. It is difficult to believe that August is already here and the kids will be going back to school soon. I have included some fun events this month along with an invitation to join me at my office for International Dog Day. I hope you can make it to the event!

Kimball Arts Fest

The 54th Annual Kimball Arts Festival is back this weekend. The Park City Kimball Arts Festival – true to the spirit of its founders in the summer of 1969 – has established itself as one of Utah’s leading cultural events, attracting thousands of visitors annually, and garnering national attention for the artists whose works are displayed

Friday, August 4 | 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Saturday, August 5 | 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

Sunday, August 6 | 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Kimball Art Center invites Summit County residents and homeowners to enjoy the festival’s opening night (Friday, August 4 from 5:00–9:00 pm) at no charge. Children, ages 6-17, need a ticket. Residents and homeowners are limited to one adult ticket and two child tickets per resident.

Summit County Fair

The Summit County Fair is held annually during the first full week of August. It’s a traditional small town county fair with cowboys and bucking broncos, a carnival midway, beauty queens, home canned goods, flowers, vegetables, and more. Events are held throughout Summit County and home base is quiet, scenic Coalville, Utah.

Local Business Spotlight

Nuzzles & Co.

Nuzzles & Co. is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill organization located in Summit County, Utah. In 1990, a group of volunteers founded the organization, originally known as Friends of Animals Utah, so they could come together to find homes for animals in need. Since then, they have found homes for over 25,000 pets.

Their mission is to protect animals, to provide a loving and nurturing place where they can get healthy and learn positive behaviors, and then to find loving homes for each one of them. They also work to educate the community on the humane treatment of animals. What they have learned is that, in helping these animals, they are the ones who benefit. As their animals get a second chance at life and find loving homes, they give back that love one-hundred fold. “When we put love first, we come together as a community and grow stronger as a society”.
